Light Your Lamp, Nurses
I am committed to supporting and caring for nurses, the people who are the key to healthcare transformation.
Currently, we are living through a healthcare experience never seen before, and nurses once again are in the thick of the care. It’s a tough time for us all, but I believe that from the midst of the challenge will come learning and new ways of thinking about what healthcare transformation really needs, and it will be nurses who need to be heard as we move forward.
I am looking for a few nurses that are willing to have a conversation with me about their nursing career, their current experience, challenges and rewards, and what they see and need for the future of nursing. It is important that nurses have an opportunity to use their voice. Where are nurses getting the support they need during this pandemic and beyond? Can they identify what they need and what would really help them?
What I learn from these nurses will help me prepare a pilot course for nurses with the intention of having them co-create the final course in transformation for nurses.
To be clear, CHANGE is when we learn a new skill or useful new information; TRANSFORMATION is when we reorganize at a deeper level, a new platform for a whole new approach to lifelong learning and growth.
